Message from Principal Eisenman

I am happy to welcome you to Horace Mann Elementary School. I am Erin Eisenman and I have served as the Principal of Eisenhower Elementary School for the last four years and this year I will be the Principal of Horace Mann Elementary.   We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential.  We have a dedicated staff of teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, custodians and bus drivers who work as a team to provide a secure, caring and enriching environment for all children.  I feel privileged to be part of such a welcoming educational community and look forward to a fulfilling school year.

PowerSchool Global Cyber Incident

PowerSchool Cyber-Security Incident

On December 28, 2024, PowerSchool became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized exfiltration of personal information from certain PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) environments through one of our community-focused customer support portals, PowerSource. PowerSchool did not experience any operational disruption and continued to provide services as normal to our customers.
Notifications to potentially impacted students/parents and staff will soon be sent.

Acadience Benchmark Testing

Dear Families and Community Members,

We are so grateful to work with your children during the first two quarters of the 2020-2021 school year! One of our visions is to continue building strong partnerships and communication with our families.

Our goal is to communicate with accuracy and clarity how your child is mastering standards and skills in his or her grade level. I created a video for you to learn about Acadience Benchmark testing and what your child's means. The video will explain more about the assessment, our curriculum, and also information should you have any questions.

Report cards are distributed on February 3, 2021, and we will include additional information in your child's report card about their Acadience Benchmark data and also a guide to understand what the assessment measures.
