I apologize for yet another communication, but I thought it was important to provide you with another update regarding the COVID-19 case we previously wrote to you about last evening involving students at Ben Franklin Elementary and a local daycare.

On or about 12:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2020, the District was advised that a student at Indiana Junior High had tested positive for COVID-19.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, the District was alerted that an elementary student’s parent tested positive for COVID-19.  This student does not attend any IASD schools but does utilize our school transportation as they attend a private school.  Furthermore, this student attends the same daycare program as several IASD students before and/or after school.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, the District was alerted that a student at the High School has been identified as a positive case for COVID-19.  This is the second confirmed case this week at IHS.

On or about 7:00 pm on Thursday evening, October 22, 2020, the District was advised that we should consider taking action to mitigate a possible spread of the virus because an elementary student at Ben Franklin has tested positive for COVID-19.

On Saturday, October 17, 2020, the District was alerted that an Indiana student at the High School has been identified as a positive case for Covid-19.

Please be on the lookout for a magnet that will provide, at a glance, the guidance regarding COVID-19 symptoms and exposure to help you make those decisions.

Monday afternoon the District was alerted that an Indiana student at the Junior High has been identified as a positive case for Covid-19. This student has not been in school during his/her infectious period.

The IASD School Health Services Department is available to offer support and answer a variety of questions you may have as we welcome back our students today!
